 Overall you guys did do a great job of playing a  game together with minimal fighting...AND Holden you even helped Kaiden with his homework tonight! :) So proud of you for that!

 Here is the beautiful girl making some art....you have been battling a fever for the last 24 hours so you have been a real suckie mommy's girl!

BabyGirl you are getting to be so big!  Here is a  picture of you at playgroup today.  We go to playgroup on Thursday's at Ealing & you love it & look forward to seeing Amy every week.  You are so adorable in this picture taking care of all the babies!

A little about grampa Paul...

Recently we have started seeing your grampa Paul.  maybe one day I'll get into depth more about the reasoning for why it has taken so long but not today.

We started seeing your grampa a couple months ago after I talked to him on the phone a few times. I love him very much no matter how rocky things have been between us and I am so glad you guys are able to know him a little. He loves you both SO much!

Your grampa is dying right now of liver failure and we're really not sure how much time he has left. I hope its long enough that you both can form some memory of him for when you get older but I fear that likely won't happen :(

I will do my best to capture photos and record the details of our visits so that you will have an idea of how much you mean to him.

PS. Kaiden I know you have grown quite fond of your grampa because yesterday when I mentioned going to visit him you said to me in a sad voice "mom...is grampa still really sick?". I answered yes and you said "that's really sad mom"

The beginning....

About a year ago I started a document on my computer called "letters to Kaiden & Maisie".
Every once in a while I would add to the document & save it....always worried about my computer crashing & me losing it...lol.

I decided to put it on a blog instead.  The goal is for it to be here for you to read when you guys get older :)

Here is the document I have so far.....I can now add to it & the dates will be nicely at the top....and another benefit to doing it this way is that I will be able to add pictures as well :)

Baby Girl,

You are 8 months old now & I can't believe it! I feel like you were just born.

Your 1st Christmas should be lots of fun.....you LOVE paper so I know you are going to love unwrapping your presents. I know the paper will be your favorite part...LOL. Mommy has had to be very careful with you around paper lately because when you get ahold of it it ends up in your mouth....& once you even chocked on a tiny peice of it :(

Last night Mamma & Aunties came over & gave you your Christmas present early. It was a pink flowery car seat :) You love it.....of course you mostly loved the plastic covering that came on it.....but I know you are going to look so cute in it!

Yesterday was the 1st time you ate a peice of fruit by yourself (not in your mesh feeder)  You had a peice of banana & mommy was nervous but you did great!

Mommy held the banana peice in her hand & you took little bites of it!

I love you more everyday :)

Dear Kaiden,

You are growing up to be such a big boy!

Daddy & I can`t get over how big you are getting...your legs are getting so long that some of your jeans are too short...LOL

Lately you have become such a daddy`s boy....you only want to do things with daddy these days. Sometimes you are really mean to mommy because when I tell you I love you you say ``i love daddy and not you`` daddy & I have both tried to tell you that you can love us both but apparently you don`t think so :(

On Saturday daddy took you to see the movie ``We bought a zoo`` You said you really liked it & daddy did too. He said you sat very well through it & you came home & told me all about the animals.

I am so proud of you watching you grow up.,...but I do wish you would slow down a little ...it makes mommy sad :( I wish you were still my little mommy`s boy that loved to snuggle.  These days you like to sit & play your DSI & Roblox....you hardly ever will snuggle me....most of the time you won`t give me a kiss :(

Maisie,

You are becoming such a personality. Yesterday you started saying `baby`` at 8.5 months old.

You are the sweetest, cutest little thing & we love you so much.

You were so much fun for Christmas! You loved unwrapping your presents...you just love paper....mommy & daddy had to help you lots with ripping the paper though...LOL

My status on facebook yesterday was ``2011 was a great year. I received the greatest gift ever...my baby girl :)
Looking forward to 2012 :)

I am just so blessed to have you. Everyday I cannot believe we were blessed with you.

I promise to always love you & always try to be the best mommy I can for you.

Kaiden,

I have not been writing nearly enough about you. You are growing into such a little man! You are now becoming so thick! You have some meat on your bones & you weigh around 50 pounds….which is only about 3 pounds or so lighter than your Bro!

You are getting excited that the school year is over this week (only 2 more school days!) You have made some great friends this year & I am so proud of you (Mya, Sierra, Rhianna, Jacob, Haley, Lincoln, Carissa, Mathew etc.)  About a week ago you came home & told me that you have a new best friend…..his name is Tyree.  He just started at your school about 1 month ago & you come home from school talking about him all the time. Mrs. Dasios tells me that the 2 of you have hands on & sometimes get rough housing too much L Daddy & I worry about that but I guess he will not be in your class next year anyway because you are going to grade 1 & he will be in SK.

We love you so much but so worry about your behavior lately. You have a lot of hands on seem always full of energy & aggression. We have put you into a Ju Jitzu class (you have been going 2 weeks now) we are  hoping this helps you to get out your aggression (daddy really hopes so because he doesn’t like being a punching bag!) Your teacher’s name is Steve, he seems very nice & he does a good job of keeping you guys in line & interested…so far you LOVE it! You are also doing really well….you are great at the exercises & you are pretty good at pinning people down…lol.

We are leaving this Friday to go on our 1^st vacation on the year. We are camping at Jelly stone park in Niagara….hopefully you and your brother can get along!

Maisie,

You finally starting walking on Saturday (June 23) at 14 months old! I am SO happy ! You are such a tiny little thing walking…lol.  Daddy actually took you in to see Dr. Carson because we were worried you might have a problem with your left leg (you kind of crawled on it funny) but he told us not to worry & give you a few more months before we get concerned.  Sure enough, the next day, you started to walk! LOL At your appointment you weighed 19.5 pounds…so tiny!!

You are such a great little baby! You are still breastfeeding!

Daddy got his license last month & you absolutely love going for rides in the van! When daddy gets home from work you say “Vruuum  Vruum!” because you want to go for a ride.

You also say “mmmmhhhhmmm” a lot when we ask you questions (as if to say yes) You have gotten so good at communicating with us lately (always pointing to show us what you want etc.)

 You surprise me all the time with how good you are at pouring water from one bottle to the other when you play in your pink princess pool….you also love taking lids off of containers & putting them back on. SO smart!

You are so funny because you have a buddy named Liam Johnston (mommy’s daycare kid) he is 11 month’s old & you love to take his soother from his mouth& put it back in….you also takes his bottles & carry them around (but you never put either in your mouth…lol)

I Love you my little beauty queen & I hope you slow down growing soon because it is going by too quickly!

Maisie & kaiden,

This week mommy is on vacation. It is so nice to spend undivided attention with you two.  On june 29^th we left for Niagara & stayed at Jellystone camping park until the 2^nd.  We checked out the falls, went go-carting & went to Safari Niagara. The Safari was by far the best part our trip….we all LOVEd the animals!

Maisie: you had a bit of a hard time adjusting to camping…..you didn’t really like to sleep in the tent…you almost acted like you felt trapped by it? Maybe it is too small of a space for you.

Kaiden: you had a pretty good time camping except that you burned yourself the one night on the hot poker used for roasting marshmallows/hot dogs. You got a big blister on your thumb & on your palm of your one hand. YOU FREAKED! There was some nice staff there that helped out by putting some  ice on it….you woke up in the night crying saying “ice! Ice!” it was a long night!

Maisie,

I cannot believe that you are now 17 months old! You are getting so big!  To see you walking around is just crazy…you’re becoming such a cute little lady.

You are always so busy! You walk around the house like you own it….getting into everything…lol I love you SO much! I cannot believe that we have been blessed with you & I thank god every day!

You have so many teeth now….you just got your molars in & they have been causing you a bit of pain because they are just finishing up coming in right now. I cannot believe howlong your hair is getting. When it is wet it goes down onto your back…when it is dry it curls right up! Lol

Kaiden,

You have just started grade 1 & I am so proud of you. Your teacher’s name is Ms. Rich. You are doing so well so far at going to school every day. I was a little worried with you going from half days to full days but you are handling it so well, you haven’t complained once!  You are doing your homework with me & reading every night for school as well. I am proud of how well you are reading!

You are such a crazy little man & I love you for it!  I call you “Boo” :P
